Silk and satin

Satin

“One color, one cloth, and the light across it.”

Satin draws a single length of silk: folded on the diagonal, hung like a curtain, pooled on a table or laid out soft. Every fold is a height, every pixel is lit from it, and the sheen runs along the crests the way it does on real cloth.

It is the plainest idea on the site, so the colors have to be right: white that stays white, black that goes to true black in the creases, gold that is gold.
